Hello! My name is Kayla Miller and I am 20 years old. I've been interested in sociology and education since high school. I decided to major in sociology and minor in education. Though I still do not know what I want to have as my career, I have always been interested in helping or teaching children in some way. I have spent a lot of my time working at orphanage's and working with the children. I also have shadowed teachers of all grades.
I have always been fascinated with the idea of incorporating technology into teaching and schools. Last year seeing the sandbox here in Tallahassee really opened up my eyes to the amount of technology that is constantly being worked on and created. I think teaching children at somewhat of a young age how to use some forms of technology or just introduce it to them is a smart idea and should be taken into consideration by most schools.
I hope to learn all the ways technology has or can be incorporated into teaching. I want to learn this because one day if I become a teacher, I hope to have a lot of knowledge about different forms of technology. I hope to learn more about the benefits of incorporating technology into our teaching system.
