Hello!
I have witnessed many different forms of teaching and classrooms as I possibly want to work in the field of education. I am a huge fan of technology, constantly researching new forms of technology in our society. When I shadowed FSUS here in tallahassee I saw teachers who use and don't use technology in their classrooms. I believe teachers that use technology in their classroom want to start getting younger students used to certain technologies because its use is continuously growing in our society. 

I think an ISTE standard that is meaningful to me is the Digital Citizen. As I studied this standard I chose it as most important because I believe it is so important to respect, understand, and appreciate technology. You need to be aware and safe when using technologies. Your personal information is online and you need to be aware of certain consequences and rules. A standard that I have just looked into that I would consider out of my skill set would be the Computational Thinker. Chris Zook explains in his article, ".This thinking requires students to become familiar with data collection, data analysis, algorithmic thinking, and data representation" (Zook). 

The term digital native to me means growing up in the era of technology. We were born with technology already invented giving us a label. I one hundred percent see a difference between the "digital native" and "digital immigrants". I also however see digital immigrants using and learning about technology and even informing the digital native. Just because the digital native generation was born with technology invented already does not mean we know more about it. However, in our society we have grown to rely on technology which can be seen as a negative. On the contrary the digital immigrant can appreciate life with and with out technology as they have lived through both eras.
